The team at Walczak has done some exceptional projects, but few compare to refinishing this custom parlor in the same Chicago home detailed in the “Brazilian Cherry” portfolio project. In order to refresh this stunning parlor and entertainment room, we completed light standing on all of the surfaces, the applied a single, even coat of stain on the wood floor, ceiling and decorative elements, then recoated the surfaces with oil finish to restore it back to its original state.

The work included the wall panels, doors, fireplace, decorative elements, stools, bar, built-in entertainment center and other elements.

To ensure a seamless entry into the room, we also refreshed the vintage custom floors, by lightly sanding the surfaces and staining them. As a final touch we applied paste wax to retain the original finish and styling of this unique space.
